More Than Just a Van: Our Storyteller Overland Journey

For the past three and a half years, our Storyteller Overland van has been so much more than a vehicle.

It’s been our adventure basecamp, our home office, our quiet retreat, and our connection point to some of the most amazing people we’ve ever met.

When we first brought it home, we thought we were just buying a van.

What we didn’t realize was that we were joining a movement.

🌄 Our Tiny Escape

Every time we slide open that side door, we’re reminded of one simple truth: freedom doesn’t have to be huge to feel infinite.

Our van — compact, smartly designed, and full of character — has become our tiny escape.

It’s where we’ve brewed early-morning coffee while watching the mist lift off a mountain lake. It’s where we’ve laughed through rainstorms, cooked simple meals, and stared out at star-filled skies that made us forget about time altogether.

🦬 Home Away from Home in Yellowstone

For the past few summers, our van has been our home away from home in Yellowstone National Park.

Between days spent exploring geysers, spotting wildlife, and meeting travelers from all over the world, the van has been our cozy landing spot — our space to recharge and reflect.

We’ve shared countless cups of coffee in its small kitchen and watched the sun dip behind the mountains from the comfort of our own little retreat.

It’s hard to describe the magic of Yellowstone unless you’ve lived it — but imagine waking up to crisp mountain air, stepping outside into a canvas of wild beauty, and knowing that your entire life fits perfectly inside a van.

That’s our kind of balance.

🚐 The Storyteller Community

One of the most unexpected gifts of van life has been the community that comes with it.

Storyteller owners are a special kind of people — adventurous, kind, and endlessly curious.

We’ve met couples who sold everything to chase sunsets, solo travelers finding confidence on the open road, and weekend warriors finding their next adventure.

Through Storyteller meetups, van festivals, and spontaneous roadside conversations, we’ve built friendships that feel like family.

These are the people who understand why we get emotional about solar setups and toilets. They’re the ones who swap travel tips over campfires, share mod ideas and celebrate every new adventure like it’s their own.

It’s a reminder that no matter how small your space is, community makes it limitless.

For us, the Storyteller isn’t just a van — it’s a mindset.

It represents freedom, creativity, and connection.

It’s a daily reminder to slow down, simplify, and savor.

It’s a tool that has taken us places we only dreamed of — but more importantly, it’s helped us create a life filled with stories worth telling.
