The Weekend Reset: How a 3-Day Getaway Can Recharge Your Life and Business
Clear Your Mind, Reignite Your Purpose, and Come Back Stronger Than Ever

Ever feel like your brain has 47 browser tabs open—and none of them are responding?
Yeah, we’ve been there too.
That’s exactly why we started building a new habit into our lives and business: the 3-Day Getaway Reset. It’s part travel, part mindset shift, and part mental maintenance. And the best part? You don’t have to wait for a “someday” vacation or a full week off. This is a short, powerful practice you can start this weekend.
We created this concept out of necessity—when you're juggling multiple projects, dreaming up your next product launch, and trying to live with less stress, the last thing you need is to power through burnout. The truth is, creativity and clarity rarely show up when you're stuck in survival mode.
That’s where a weekend reset comes in.

Why 3 Days?
Three days is the magic number.
Long enough to disconnect from your regular routine, short enough to not disrupt your life or business.
A 3-day window creates space.
Space to rest.
Space to breathe.
And most importantly—space to think.
We’ve found that we return from these short escapes with:
New ideas for our business
Renewed motivation to tackle our goals
Deeper connection to each other
And a much calmer mind
This isn't about avoiding your life—it’s about reconnecting with it from a new perspective.

What Happens When You Step Away
When you step away—intentionally—it’s amazing what starts to shift.
Here are a few changes we’ve noticed after doing regular resets:
1. Burnout fades
Even a quick change in scenery can give your nervous system a break. You start to breathe deeper, laugh more, and feel grounded again.
2. Clarity shows up
That decision you’ve been agonizing over? It often becomes obvious when you’re sitting by a lake, hiking through trees or walking in a park.
3. Creativity kicks in
We’ve brainstormed some of our best product ideas—like the Adventure Blueprint itself—while sitting around a campfire or sipping coffee in a little cafe that we discovered.
4. Stress levels drop.
Science backs this up: short nature getaways reduce cortisol and boost mood. But honestly? You’ll feel the difference even if your escape is just to a nearby small town with charm and peace.
How to Plan Your Weekend Reset (No Overwhelm Needed)
We created the 3-Day Adventure Blueprint to make this ridiculously simple.
Here’s the essence of our system:
Step 1: Pick Your Purpose
Ask yourself: What do I need most right now?
Do you need to rest, explore, reconnect, or create? Start with the intention—then design your escape around that.
Step 2: Choose a Destination Close By
This doesn’t need to be Instagram-perfect. We’ve had magical resets in tiny towns, campgrounds, and roadside diners. Aim for somewhere within a 2-3 hour drive if possible.
Pro tip: Choose places with minimal distractions and natural beauty—bonus points if you don’t have reliable Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Pack Light + With Intention
Pack only the essentials, plus a few items that spark joy or inspiration:
A favorite journal
Your go-to coffee setup (we never leave without ours!)
A book you’ve been meaning to read
Something that makes you smile—like our “Do Not Pet the Fluffy Cow” mug, because humor is also medicine

You Don’t Have to Earn Rest
Here’s the lie that keeps so many people stuck:
I’ll take a break once I’ve earned it.
You do not have to hustle your way into burnout to deserve rest. In fact, rest is what helps you create and build in a sustainable way. Taking a weekend to recharge isn’t a luxury—it’s part of running a life and business with longevity.

Real-Life Example: Our Favorite 3-Day Reset
One of our favorite resets was a spontaneous boondocking trip into the Beartooth Mountains. We found an incredible spot high up with a panoramic view that made us pause and just breathe. No distractions—just mountain air, quiet pine forests, and endless sky. We made amazing meals right from the van (yes, even a legit camp breakfast with hot coffee and a view), went for slow walks through alpine meadows, and let the silence do its magic. Without even planning to, we ended up mapping out a new content series, refining our goals, and actually feeling excited about our next launch.
Sometimes all it takes is a dirt road and a clear horizon to reset everything.
It wasn’t the hustle that gave us clarity.
It was the pause.
The view from one of our favorite “reset” spots.
